My work often begins with photography but ends up drifting into spaces that are often hard to define—where the boundaries of the medium are stretched, questioned, weakened, and placed at the service of an emotional component.
In the hybrid and contradictory nature of my practice, an interest in the physical possibilities of the printed image coexists with a fascination for the dizzying flow of images that constantly redefine the photographic experience and, ultimately, our way of relating to one another.
Faced with this peculiar vulnerability, I use collage as an ecosystem in which to try to stitch together layers, reconcile stimuli, digest information... and find a way for the parts of an often overwhelming whole to coexist and make sense.
